Anti-Scalping Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Purpose
Plausor is committed to fair ticket pricing and preventing ticket scalping. This policy describes the measures in place and the obligations of all users.
2. What is Scalping?
Ticket scalping refers to purchasing tickets with the sole intent of reselling them at inflated prices, often using automated tools or deceptive practices.
3. Price Caps
Event organizers may set maximum resale prices for their events. Resale listings that exceed price caps will be rejected by the platform. Price caps may be set as a fixed amount or a percentage above the original ticket price.
4. Blockchain Verification
Plausor utilizes blockchain technology on the Polygon network to create verifiable ticket records. Each ticket may be issued as an NFT with immutable pricing history. This creates a transparent, tamper-proof record of ticket ownership and pricing.
5. Dynamic QR Codes
Tickets use rolling QR codes that refresh every 30 seconds. This prevents screenshots or copies of tickets from being used for unauthorized entry. Only the current ticket holder's device will display valid QR codes.
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Plausor:
- Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to purchase tickets in bulk
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent purchase limits
- Listing tickets at prices exceeding organizer-set caps
- Selling counterfeit or cloned tickets
- Circumventing any anti-scalping technology or measures
7. Consequences
Violations of this anti-scalping policy will result in the following escalating consequences:
- First violation: Warning and listing removal
- Second violation: Temporary suspension of selling privileges
- Third violation: Permanent account suspension and forfeiture of any pending payouts
8. Reporting
Users who suspect scalping activity can report it to support@plausor.com. Plausor investigates all reports and takes appropriate action.
9. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
Plausor cooperates with law enforcement agencies investigating ticket scalping. We comply with applicable anti-scalping laws and regulations.
10. Amendments
This policy may be updated at any time. Users will be notified of material changes.
